Experienced QA Test Engineer – Remote
Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
I have a brand new role for an Experienced Senior QA/ Tester/ QA Engineer with automation skills to join my client, who are an established software company with a team of 45 . Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand for their software products has skyrocketed. Over the past year, they have expanded their workforce by 15 new team members and are now in a brilliant spot. They have a strong commitment to hiring the most suitable individuals for their roles and offer the flexibility of remote work for candidates based in the UK with team meetups a couple of times a year in their Wiltshire office. They invest heavily in their culture and working environment, only hiring great humans, and this has resulted in low staff turnover.
Historically, their developers have undertaken testing responsibilities, and, whilst their product has demonstrated robust quality, as they continue to grow, they now recognize the need for a dedicated Quality Assurance/ QA/ Tester. Their technology stack primarily revolves around JavaScript technologies, including Typescript, Angular, React and more. Recently, they’ve made significant investments in automation, successfully implementing the Cypress framework for UI testing but they are open to changing this if there are better tools out there for the job.
They are now looking for their first dedicated QA/ Tester to join their team. In this role, you will be the quality champion and be responsible for enhancing and refining the existing testing processes and working closely with the development team. You will play a pivotal role in advancing their automation capabilities while ensuring the quality of their software products.
Their ideal person will be an experienced Tester/QA with a strong technical background, complemented by strong automation skills (brownie points for experience with tools like Cypress/Playwright).
This is a really exciting opportunity for someone to go in as their first QA and be able to make a significant impact on their software quality and testing practices.
Salary is anywhere from £50,000-£65,000 dependent on experience.
