THE ROLE
Our client is looking for an Accountant (CPA) to handle their general accounting responsibilities including but not limited to general ledger recording and reporting, receivables management, payables processing, and fixed asset management.
SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (12:00 AM – 9:00 AM Philippine Local Time), follows Philippine holidays
POSITION TYPE: Full Time
WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Manage the general ledger including reviewing and recording transactions timely and accurately
· Assist the controller with closing of books and prepare financial reports (monthly, quarterly, and annually)
· Participate in the completion of statutory audit and preparation of compliance documentation of the assigned entity
· Handle receivables management by monitoring client outstanding balances and overseeing follow-up correspondences to ensure timely collection
· Review and record vendor invoices and ensure timely payment processing
· Handle asset management by coordinating with the IT team to monitor stock requirements, monitor and escalate unreturned equipment for proper handling
· Prepare balance sheet reconciliation monthly by escalating and coordinating with other departments to ensure the clearing of outstanding reconciling items
· Review existing processes and suggest improvements to achieve process efficiency and stability
· Cover other roles in the finance department as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
· A Bachelor’s degree in the related field
· Certified Public Accountant with 3-4 years of solid working experience preferably in handling statutory audit
· Experience in handling general ledger
· MSP or technology experience is a plus
· Experience in a multi-client environment
· Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications
· Strong organization, oral and written communication skills
· Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
· Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation
· Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
