Business Analyst – (Procurement & Pricing) at Kasha Kenya

Job Description

Job Purpose:

To analyze supplier and competitor pricing, preparing reports about product competitiveness backed with data, and simulating outcomes of different pricing strategies and turning these reports into actionable profit-enhancing strategies. The incumbent should possess sound knowledge of quantitative and qualitative data analysis methods and experience in a similar role.  This role will report directly to the VP International Supply.

Role Responsibilities:

• Assessing data from a variety of sources to gain insights into pricing strategies and market trends.
• Analyzing competitor pricing and market trends to increase market share and profitability.
• Applying statistical modeling methods to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability, and provide necessary inputs for procurement decisions.
• Recommending pricing strategies that align closely with market trends and identifying new market segments.
• Forecasting revenue and market share based on market trends, production costs, profit margins, and sales volumes.
• Collaborating with the procurement team on developing and implementing competitive strategies to enhance margins.
• Manage daily pricing tools to ensure products pricing are competitive and in line with market and MRSP

Role Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience as a business analyst in FMCG, E-commerce, or a related industry.
• Strong analytical skills to compare sales trends and analyze market data on both demand and supply ends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with team members at all levels.
• Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace (Excel, BI, Outlook, etc.), with a keen attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
