Commercial Analyst -Digital Financial Services at KCB Bank Kenya

Reporting to the Manager, Commercial Analysis, the role holder will be responsible for providing data analysis on the Group’s digital products to support in establishing viability for new products as well as enabling effective performance reporting. This will entail data collection, interrogation, analysis and preparation of reports

Key Responsibilities

• Transform large, complex datasets into pragmatic, actionable insights, leverage data to identify, quantify and influence tangible business gain by performing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in reports, dashboards and charts.
• Provide support in establishing the viability for new products in the market i.e. Business Cases formulation, outlining revenue lines and costs for each product.
• Develop performance measurement dashboards e.g. for KPIs, targets etc. which serve as a yardstick for analyzing the performance of digital products and services.
• Produce product performance reports – Daily/Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Annual reports to internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare competitor products analysis to benchmark on performance, market share and determine opportunities for growth.
• Provide data to the Data Analytics and Risk teams to support the regular update of tools and working models
• Prepare reports for regulatory &/or statutory reporting.

The Person

For the above position, the successful applicant should meet the following criteria:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, IT, Data Analysis or related quantitative field.
• Professional Certification in Business Analysis/IMIS/CPA/ Certification in data analysis e.g. SPSS/Power BI will be an added advantage.
• Master’s Degree or related Professional qualifications will be an added advantage
• Professional Certification in Business Analysis/IMIS/CPA/ Certification in data analysis e.g. SPSS/Power BI will be an added advantage.

Experience

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar.
• At least 3 years’ experience in data analysis, commercial analysis or performance reporting is required including experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL queries and extracting data from a variety of data sources and different formats. 
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience Relational Databases/ Data Analysis
• 1 year experience in Financial/commercial analysis
• 2 years’ experience in Data Extraction, interpretation and presentation.
• Experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques (hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analysing data, drawing conclusions) is desired.
• Project Management skills is desired.
