Job Description

ob Purpose:

Expand and develop export businesses to meet company objectives for retention, growth, and profitability, while exceeding customer expectations and delivering superior returns to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Oversee all sales activities across East and Central Africa, achieving export sales targets.
  •  Build multi-level relationships and negotiate contracts.
  •  Manage accounts, develop and implement sales strategies across industries and regions.
  •  Formulate and execute channel marketing and distribution strategies for profitable revenue.
  •  Lead marketing programs to grow market share, manage advertising, promotion, and marketing budgets.
  •  Analyze sales data, forecast budgets, and open new markets.
  •  Recruit and train distributors, regularly visiting target countries.
  •  Prepare budgets, set sales and revenue goals, and implement new product launches.
  •  Maintain marketing activities for visibility, shelf share, and promotions.
  •  Analyze market intelligence and identify new business opportunities.
  •  Collaborate with marketing and technical departments.
  •  Maintain professional client relationships and supervise sales target achievements.

Requirements
Person Specifications:

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related fields.
  •  Professional qualifications or a Master’s degree in Sales and Marketing is an added advantage.
  •  At least five years of sales and marketing experience, with two years in management in East and Central Africa.
  •  Knowledge of the operations of the regional FCMG industry and a good understanding of East and Central Africa market dynamics.
  •  Ability to manage relationships with distributors and negotiate terms.
  •  Knowledge of customs procedures and experience in budget and business process management.
  •  Leadership experience in sales, marketing, and business development with a proven track record.
  •  Analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trends.
  •  Ability to translate market dynamics into actionable strategies and implement them effectively.
  •  Position based in Nairobi with extensive travel required.
