As Finance Business Partner- Logistics, you will support the Logistics Finance function to ensure delivery of budget through effective business partnering, in line with Screwfix strategy and core competencies.

This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment, requiring excellent analytical, organisation and communication skills.

Face-to-face collaboration is an integral part of our warm, friendly culture, so you’ll work from one of our Distribution Centres in Stafford or Stoke for 3 days a week, working flexibly around our core working hours of 10am-3pm. You will also need to be able to travel to our Head Office in Yeovil as and when required.

Responsibilities

  • Build trusted partnership with the business to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions promoting business improvements and cost reductions.
  • Produce insightful management information to support the key stakeholders in understanding performance against Budget, Flex Budget and Forecasts.
  • Conduct detailed analysis to support key decision making and effectively communicating any risks to delivering the plan.
  • Consistently seek to identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Work with the Screwfix and Wincanton Finance teams to ensure reports are simple, consistent, accurate, received in good time and process improvements are implemented wherever possible.
  • Work with other Finance colleagues to share knowledge and ensure best practice is shared across the team.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant

Experience of variance analysis including volume, efficiency, rate and mix is essential * Experience in Logistics or Manufacturing is desirable

  • Commercially aware and highly numerate
  • Desire to identify opportunities and propose solutions
  • Ability to communicate performance in a meaningful way to non-finance colleagues.
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Flexibility and the ability to adjust to new demands
