Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Provide financial analysis in support of company objectives and develop solutions to help assist business stakeholders with financial information needs.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
  • Review and analyze financial statements for compliance with Accounting Standards and ensure timely issuance.
  • Supervise all accounting work for financial statement preparation and implement control mechanisms for accounts payable, fixed assets, and inventories.
  • Manage financial information related to manufacturing cost and validate physical inventory counts
  • Create and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures for internal control to protect company assets, including monitoring procedures and policies.
  • Forecast and monitor cash flows for proper liquidity management, ensure compliance with payment and expense authorization policies, and approve cash flows disbursement
  • Present financial information timely and manage administrative expenses in line with organizational objectives.
  • Implement and comply with government requirements regarding compliance
  • Prepare monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and year-end audits.
  • Be a strategic leader and design and drive process improvements, implement scalable solutions and financial systems, as well as participate in developing and maintaining strong internal controls, ensuring quality controls over all transactions and reporting
  • Perform Budget & Forecast variance analysis to support budgetary control and financial statement accuracy and completeness
  • Monthly Bank accounts reconciliations
  • Prepare reports and schedules for yearly taxes
  • Assist Department Managers with monthly Expense Budgets and variances
  • Prepare ad hoc analytical reports as assigned
  • Review, enter and approve all inbound payable invoices
  • Monitor transactions related to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, G/L and Capital Assets
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual payroll reports as needed

Knowledge and Experience 

  • Professional accounting designation CPA
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field 
  • At Least 7 years’ experience 
  • Mastery of IT tools, accounting systems and a mastery of IFRS accounting standards
  • Expertise in a manufacturing environment and demonstrate leadership and initiative.
  • In-depth expertise in integrated information systems (ERP) and strong analytical and organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
