Graphic Designer at Kenya Yearbook

VACANCY No. KYEB/07/2024

Graphic Designer will be responsible to Senior Graphic Designer.

Job Description

  • Creating animations/graphics;
  • Developing graphics for product illustrations, branding materials, and websites;
  • Creating visual concepts;
  • Designing artwork required by KYEB e.g. flyers, brochures, posters, calendars and logos;
  • Designing content required for social media purposes such as mail shots, e-banners, landing pages, postings and updates;
  • Being aware of emerging technologies in new media to ensure quality design output at all times;
  • Submitting regular reports that relate to all graphics design and web design/ development tasks upon completion and implementation.

Person Specifications

  • Minimum for (4) years’ work experience in relevant position;
  • Diploma in Art and Design/Fine Art or Graphic Design.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Art and Design/Fine Art or Graphic Design Option will be an added advantage.
  • Competency in computer application

Key Competencies and skills

  • Ability to work with minimal Supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work for long/odd hours
  • Good communication skills
  • Conversant with lithographic and screen-printing process.

  • The successful candidate shall be required to provide the following documents before issuance of the offer letter in compliance with Chapter 6 of the Constitution 2010:
  • Valid certificate of good conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations.
    • Self-declaration form duly executed by the Ethics & Anti – Corruption Commission.
    • A tax compliance certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
    • Clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board (HELB).
    • Clearance certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
