ICT Manager – Nyeri at Brites Management

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the maintenance and support of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and telecommunications systems.
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT systems and infrastructure.
  • Manage system upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of IT professionals.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and support.
  • Provide technical support to staff and resolve IT-related issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement IT support processes and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor IT helpdesk operations and ensure timely resolution of support tickets.
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect the organization’s IT systems and data.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
  • Plan, execute, and manage IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address their IT needs.
  • Oversee the implementation of new software and hardware solutions.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Monitor IT expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
  • Develop and implement the organization’s IT strategy in alignment with business goals.
  • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.
  • Advise senior management on technology solutions and their potential impact on business operations.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
  • Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure favorable terms.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with SLAs.

Key Requirements Skills, experience and qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a related role.
  • Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and best practices.
  • Proven experience in managing IT projects and teams.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using IT management software and tools
