Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the maintenance and support of the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and telecommunications systems.
- Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Manage system upgrades, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of IT professionals.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and support.
- Provide technical support to staff and resolve IT-related issues promptly.
- Develop and implement IT support processes and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Monitor IT helpdesk operations and ensure timely resolution of support tickets.
- Implement and manage security measures to protect the organization’s IT systems and data.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities.
- Develop and enforce IT security policies and procedures.
- Plan, execute, and manage IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address their IT needs.
- Oversee the implementation of new software and hardware solutions.
- Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
- Monitor IT expenditures and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management.
- Develop and implement the organization’s IT strategy in alignment with business goals.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements.
- Advise senior management on technology solutions and their potential impact on business operations.
- Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and service agreements to ensure favorable terms.
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with SLAs.
Key Requirements Skills, experience and qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and best practices.
- Proven experience in managing IT projects and teams.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using IT management software and tools
