Programme Analyst – Foundations at Safaricom Kenya

Reporting to the Manager – Monitoring Evaluation Reporting and Learning, the position holder will manage the MPESA & Safaricom Foundations websites and digital content, Monitoring and Evaluation, Data analysis and ISO integration activities (ISO 26000)

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Management of Safaricom & M-PESA Foundation Websites.
  • Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
  • Assisting the Monitoring and Evaluation team to update the project database, synthesizing M&E data, and review of projects/programme.
  • Preparing final analysis reports for Management to understand the -analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends.
  • Supporting the team in write ups for prospect projects that the foundation has interest in and would wish to engage in.
  • Working closely with Digital Transformation Team to identify process improvements opportunities, propose system modifications and device data management strategies.
  • Collating all the required information for the Foundations digital assets
  • Provide quality assurance of Safaricom and M-Pesa Foundation data.
  • ISO integration activities (ISO 26000).
  • Ongoing employee engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree in Information Technology
  • Proven working experience as a Data Analyst
  • Proven experience of relevant IT systems
  • Excellent Microsoft Power BI & Microsoft Excel capability (Macros, complex queries, etc.)
  • Experience of producing coherent reports to include statistics and graphical analysis of information.
  • The ability to carry out some data analysis would be highly advantageous.
  • Conceptual thinker, ability to wade through data and arrive at conclusions.
  • Strong communication skills – written and verbal – with graphs and trends for ease of understanding.
  • Multitasking and prioritization skills required to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional presentation required.
  • Uphold 100 % accuracy, integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to work under tight timelines and deliver accurate results.
