Job Summary:

  • The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant’s operations, as well as the development and management of outdoor recreation facilities. This pivotal role involves developing and implementing strategic plans, managing resources effectively, and ensuring the delivery of unparalleled service to our customers. The ideal candidate will possess extensive leadership experience, business acumen, and expertise in hospitality management, outdoor recreation, health and safety protocols, as well as a proven track record of building and scaling high-performing restaurants in startup environments.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business plans and strategies to achieve the restaurant’s objectives and financial targets, as well as the success of outdoor recreation facilities.
  • Lead the recruitment, training, and development of a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork across all areas of operation.
  • Oversee all day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including staffing, inventory management, and customer service, ensuring seamless and memorable experiences for guests.
  • Design, develop, and manage outdoor recreation facilities, including pedal setups and other recreational activities, ensuring safety, quality, and guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to create innovative and engaging outdoor spaces that align with the restaurant’s concept and vision, while adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Establish and enforce rigorous health and safety protocols and procedures throughout the establishment, including food handling, sanitation, and emergency preparedness.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health and safety standards and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide ongoing training and education to staff on health and safety best practices and procedures.
  • Maintain open communication with regulatory agencies and authorities to stay updated on relevant regulations and requirements and ensure full compliance.
  • Leverage previous startup experience to drive innovation, efficiency, and growth within the organization, with a focus on building and scaling a high-performing restaurant.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in the hospitality industry, with a strong background in restaurant management, outdoor recreation, and health and safety management.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multifaceted operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences in startup environments.
  • Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Solid understanding of financial management principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Experience in conceptualizing, developing, and managing outdoor recreation facilities, including pedal setups and other recreational activities.
  • Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in the food and hospitality industry.
  • Creative thinking and strategic planning abilities, with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing priorities, and drive results.
