Systems Administrator at Standard Bank Group
The purpose of the role is to monitor the core banking system ensuring optimal performance and availability including its interfaces and channels. Managing backup from various sources (i.e. systems, databases, servers) and ensuring successful retrieval and restoration upon request from business. Monitoring network and networked resources i.e ATMS to reduce downtime which reduces financial implications due to unavailability of systems. Another key role is running T24 close of business that updates the bank’s general ledger and PL positions for financial reporting daily.

- Years: 1-2 Years Experience Description: At least one year experience in any of the following areas: IT security, Infrastructure Technical Support, Systems Administration, Applications support, Electronic Banking/Channels Support, Programming, Database Administration, Systems Analysis. Banking/financial industry experience would be an added advantage.
