Brief Description

Job Purpose Statement: The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for implementing governance around quality assurance processes, setting up quality gates, and assessing the maturity of the QA organization. He /she will also enforce adherence to QA processes with constant assessment and reporting. He/she will also be accountable for the implementation of a test environment management strategy and ensure the availability of test environments. He/she is also accountable for test resources management and ensuring that these are available within stipulated timelines and SLAs.

Detailed Description

  • Develop, implement, and manage processes to ensure that systems and products meet the required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
  • Identifies and sets appropriate quality standards and parameters for systems, products, and business rules.
  • Identifies reports and analyzes issues, bugs, defects, and other problems, particularly when problems recur in multiple products; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
  • Involved in the creation and execution of test plans and participates in product testing.
  • Develop and maintain testing documentation.
  • Ensure that QA/QC processes are in place, maintained throughout the IT systems implementation and software development life cycles, and reviewed/revisited periodically to ensure all standard operating procedures reflect the most up-to-date, internationally accepted practices, ensure compliance with evolving innovations, and ensure responsiveness to new technologies as they become available.
  • Communicates quality standards and parameters to Project Team, development team, and other appropriate staff.
  • Perform quality assurance role for any IT systems replacement, major upgrade or acquisitions.
  • Review customer user feedback to confirm quality.
  • Maintains compliance with the relevant local and international applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
  • Develop and maintain systems and products quality assurance policies, procedures, and QA success criterion.
  • Undertake systems quality assurance reviews and recommend corrective actions.

Job Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree or higher in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or related field.
  • Certification in project management is an added advantage (prince2, prince2 Agile, PMP).
  • At least 5years overall IT experience with 2 years in quality assurance role
