Vehicle Electrical Technician at Flexi-Personnel
- The Vehicle Electrical Technician will play a critical role in ensuring that the motorbikes are well diagnosed, serviced, repaired, and maintained in the warehouses and service centers. You will also assist with roadside assistance as assigned and work closely with the Service Manager to implement Standard Operating Procedures and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area, including tools, to ensure efficient operations.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on motorcycles.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical component issues and determine appropriate solutions.
- Repair or replace defective parts.
- Perform safety inspections during repairs and maintenance to ensure high safety levels are always maintained.
- Use specialized tools and equipment to perform repairs.
- Keep and submit detailed records of all maintenance and repair work.
- Assist customers with technical answers and provide advice on proper maintenance and care of their motorcycles, including preventive maintenance.
- Stay up to date with EV industry developments and electrical parts in motorcycle repairing.
- Support the Service Manager in implementing Standard Operating Procedures for efficient service delivery.
- Perform root cause analysis to identify warranty and non-warranty items for electronic devices.
- Communicate effectively in English and Swahili, both verbally and in writing.
- Manage shifting priorities effectively and maintain strong work ethics in all tasks.
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND TRAITS
- Diploma/Vocational Training in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in technical repairs on motor bikes either EV’s or Internal combustion engine (ICE).
- Experience in dealing with and handling electrical components on vehicles is an added advantage.
- Strong technical skills and ability to perform electrical assembly tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Familiarity with Standard Operating Procedures and quality management systems.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel and Report writing.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Swahili.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
