Job Description

Our client is a leading food processing company in East Africa, manufacturing over 50 different products under various brand names that have been in use for over 50+ years and have become well known household names in the region. 

As the Sales Manager for the halal meat Company, you will play a crucial role in driving sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients. You should be able to contribute substantially to the company’s growth and enhance brand presence in general trade, modern trade and Institutions.

Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sales Management: Develop a growth strategy focused on financial gain and customer satisfaction. Review the current route to market strategy and rebuild for efficient scaling. Profiling the company’s portfolio, scoping our customer and outlet landscape to ensure that we are maximizing on each customer segment with the right products.
  • Leadership & Development: Training, developing and motivating teams to deliver on company goals. Coaching and mentoring teams to foster a positive work environment that encourages creativity, collaboration and professional growth.
  • Market research & Insight Management: Conducting competitors’ analysis, keeping abreast of market trends and competitors’ moves to achieve market share metrics in all regions. Gathering of industry trends and giving informed suggestions on adjustments to suit the trends.
  • Budget Management and Efficiency: Deliver profitability analysis at product level and linkage to commercial decisions endeavoring to meet target margins. Ensuring costs are managed and any wastes in the processes are eliminated for improved efficiency.
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, sales, marketing or any related field.
More Details on Experience
  • 8 years plus proven business development and/or sales experience in FMCG.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Kenyan market with business development experience.
  • Demonstrable experience developing and executing sales plans built on targeted strategies.
