Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances.
- Perform regular database monitoring and performance tuning to ensure optimal system efficiency.
- Implement and maintain database security measures to safeguard sensitive information.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions.
- Conduct regular backups and implement disaster recovery plans.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance database performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, and database management principles.
- Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with backup and recovery processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills
- Certification in Microsoft SQL Server administration.
- Experience with other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Oracle).
- Knowledge of cloud database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS).
