About the Role

As a SQL Database Administrator at DXC Technology, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the performance, integrity, and security of our clients’ databases. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot issues, and implement strategic solutions to optimize database functionality. Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances.
• Perform regular database monitoring and performance tuning to ensure optimal system efficiency.
• Implement and maintain database security measures to safeguard sensitive information.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database solutions.
• Conduct regular backups and implement disaster recovery plans.
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance database performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a SQL Database Administrator or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server, T-SQL, and database management principles.
• Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery processes.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Skills

• Certification in Microsoft SQL Server administration.
• Experience with other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Oracle).
• Knowledge of cloud database services (e.g., Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS).
